Every year, The Pantone Color Institute unveils a highly anticipated Color of the Year that it cultivates by looking at many influences, from travel to pop culture to fashion and more. This year, the Color of the Year was awarded to Viva Magenta, Pantone color 18-1750. It is a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family. Pantone describes Viva Magenta as, “brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative.”

Viva Magenta is powerful and empowering. It is an animated red hue that revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression. It is bold and joyous, audacious, full of wit, and inclusive of all.
Here are a few decorating ideas inspired by Pantone’s Viva Magenta to make your home feel fresh and inspired in 2023.
