Hal Hunnicutt has been named brand manager for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, the makers of Sunbrella performance fabrics, the premium leader for awning, furniture and marine applications.
"Sunbrella and our other performance fabric brands continue to evolve in terms of styling and performance, and it's my job is to assure that our brands resonate with customers," Hunnicutt said. "My responsibilities will include managing Sunbrella and other brands in our existing core markets, while we continue to explore product innovations, new markets and brand extensions on a global basis."
Hunnicutt joined Glen Raven, Inc. in 1995 in strategic planning and finance. During his career with Glen Raven, he also managed the Glen Raven Catalog, the company's largest direct consumer marketing program. Most recently, Hunnicutt has served as market manager for residential fabrics, and prior to that position he was responsible for decorative jobber and specialty catalog placements for Sunbrella.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in textiles from N.C. State University and a master of business administration degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. Hunnicutt is a past board member for the International Textile Market Association, which produces Showtime, the High Point suppliers' conference held twice each year.
