Calico Corners, one of the nation's largest retailers of decorative fabrics with 115 locations, is expanding its offering of performance fabrics with the addition of more than 100 styles from the Joe Ruggiero Collection for Sunbrella. The new offerings will begin appearing at Calico Corners locations during March.
"Performance fabrics for inside and outside of the home are continuing to grow in popularity with consumers who have discovered that they can have a home that is both beautiful and worry free," said Jan Jessup, director of communications for Calico Corners, which offers more than 3,000 fabrics, along with design consultation and custom-crafted home furnishings.

"Our expanded Joe Ruggiero Collection of Sunbrella fabrics should resonate with our shoppers, who will be drawn to Joe's sophisticated sense of color and style and the international influences in his designs," she said.
Ruggiero, one of the nation's most respected home furnishings design authorities, launched his collection for Sunbrella in 2002 and has steadily expanded the collection. Ruggiero draws his design influences from his travels around the globe, creating Sunbrella performance fabrics with the look and feel of damask, chenille, silk and fine cotton, yet durable, color fast and easy to clean for care-free living with children and pets.
"I have worked closely with Calico Corners for more than 11 years through idea homes and decorating seminars," Ruggiero said. Calico Corners is one of the fastest growing retailers of custom sofas, chairs and other upholstered furniture.
