New Sunbrella Awning Treatment For Home Of World’s Oldest Man

November 2, 2010 by Sue R

Sunbrella can’t boast of lasting 114 years (we’re just celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2011) but Walter Breuning of Great Falls, Montana sure can! He has been verified as the world’s oldest man at 114 and has been given the elustrious honor of a listing in the Guinness Book of World Records as such. At his recent birthday party, dignitaries from all over Montana came by his retirement home bringing their well wishes. Noted media outlets such as USA Today, CNN and the Associated Press were all there to cover the event.

Even the retirement home primped for the big event! Walter lives in Rainbow Retirement and the building was outfitted with brand new awnings covered in Sunbrella fabric just for the occasion. According to the recent article in USA Today, the former hotel was spruced up with new carpet and drapes as well, just in time for the high-profile birthday.

Here you can see the new covers in Sunbrella awning fabric, Eastland Classic. Great Falls Tent and Awning made the Sunbrella cover and CAT Graphics, Inc. completed the signage work and installed the new covers.

Sunbrella is also known to last a long time and we’re honored to be in such venerable company with Walter Breuning!
