Southern Living Custom Builders Learn about Awnings
The Sunbrella team presented awnings made with Sunbrella fabric to sixty-two of the best builders in the Southeast at the Southern Living Custom Builder Conference in Point Clear, Alabama last week. The 17-year old program connects builders with sponsors to provide education and marketing opportunities, and this is the first year that Sunbrella has participated. We were joined by other sponsor like James Hardie Siding and Sherwin-Williams and Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors to name a few.
It was a wonderful opportunity to interact with professional builders and help them to understand how awnings can set their projects apart. Adding awnings to a new home during the construction phase extends the future home owner’s usable living space, provides shade and protection for the home’s interior and reduces heat gain inside the home during warmer months. That’s a key benefit in the Southeast where summers can be brutal.
