Unique Architecture Uses Sunbrella Fabrics

A graduate of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, Trevor Pan spent 400 days over two years turning one of his projects into reality. “3 Desert Way” is a shelter designed to house a person in the Arizona desert, according to an article in the September 2006 issue of ARCHITECTURAL RECORD.

An exercise in minimalist, organic design, the shelter features a 100 square foot room, seating for 12, a pullout bed and a 150 square foot patio. Not only are the seat cushions covered in True Blue Sunbrella furniture fabric, but Trevor stretched Sunbrella Natural fabric over wood beams to create a durable roof that also provides natural light.
