Stacy Garcia Introducing Sunbrella® Fabrics Line During HD Expo

2005.05.10

Stacy Garcia, a leading fabrics designer well known within the hospitality industry for saturated colors and clean, contemporary styling, introduced a new collection of Sunbrella fabrics during the HD Expo in Las Vegas.

Garcia's new collection, which combines her distinctive designs with Sunbrella's legendary performance, will feature four patterns in a number of color ways, with plans for continuing development and expansion.

"Sunbrella's performance characteristics - durability, fade and stain resistance and ease of cleaning - make it ideal for the challenging hospitality environment," Garcia said. "We are building on these performance features with designs, colors and textures that will offer the hospitality industry an entirely new option in upholstery."

Headlining the initial introduction of the Stacy Garcia® / LebaTex collection for Sunbrella is a pattern called Dahlia, which prompts images of Ming Dynasty ceramics; balanced in scale and vibrancy.

Other patterns included in the initial collection are "Willow," a stylized twig motif in 4 two-color combinations; "Charlotte," a sophisticated, delineated floral in three color ways inspired by the private beach coves of San Tropez villas; and "Marina" which features small punchy bursts of gemstones in a square grid.

"The new relationship between Sunbrella and Stacy Garcia®/ LebaTex has resulted in a creative fusion of Sunbrella's performance technology with the Stacy's spicy design inspirations," said Hal Hunnicutt, market manager for residential fabrics with Sunbrella. "We are confident that Stacy's Sunbrella designs will be welcomed quickly into the hospitality living space."

Sunbrella brand fabrics have been an industry leader in premium, performance applications for awnings, casual furniture, boating and convertible tops for more than 40 years. Through jacquard weaving, advanced fabric finishes and innovative yarn combinations, Sunbrella is quickly emerging as a new option for interior spaces, offering a soft hand and the look and feel of cotton, silk, damask, chenille and wool.
